Cleaning and care

Systemo worktops and other elements are robust and long-lasting. So that you’re happy with your product for a long time, proper care and cleaning are essential. Below we give you some important information on how to clean and care for the different materials.

Ceramic

Heavy soiling

Where necessary, it is best to remove any severe stains with an intensive cleaner or universal basic cleaner.

Remove any stubborn stains such as encrusted food residues or metal abrasion caused by pots using a microfibre cloth and a suitable ceramic hob cleaner.

Natural stone

Daily cleaning

For everyday cleaning, we recommend using a soft microfibre cloth and a cleaning product that leaves no film.

Heavy soiling

Heavier soiling is best removed with “Lithofin MN Easy-Clean“ cleaner.

Care

To provide natural stone elements with long-term protection, we recommend treating them once or twice a year with “Lithofin STAINSTOP“.

Quartz

SensiQ

Daily cleaning

Use a soft, lint-free cloth and a little lukewarm water or a mild cleaning agent (e.g. a universal cleaner).

Heavy soiling

Remove stubborn staining with a degreasing agent or a moist dirt rubber.

Move the rubber with a light pressure over the surface; too much pressure can result in shiny spots.

Glass

Daily cleaning

It is best to use a standard glass cleaner for day-to-day cleaning and avoid greasy or oily products.

Heavy soiling

In the event of stubborn staining, use a universal cleaner or a moist dirt rubber.

General

After cleaning, finish off with a damp cloth and then dry thoroughly.

Solid wood

Daily cleaning

Use a soft, lint-free cloth and a little lukewarm water.

Heavy soiling

In case of stubborn stains, use a mild cleaning agent (e.g., universal cleaner).

To remove all dirt particles, always wipe along the grain of the wood.

Care

The open pores of the wood can cause the worktop to absorb moisture. This can result in liquids soaking into the solid wood. Immediately remove any dirt and spilt liquids (e.g., drinks) to prevent the liquid remaining in contact with the wood for a long time.

To care for the surface, oil it using a standard wood-care oil.
